Dispatch Plushes, Astro Bot Fridges, And A Pokemon Card Made Of Lego
That last one is up to you. No, really.
I’ve been writing this newsletter every week for two months, and I don’t believe I’ve mentioned Dispatch even once. Time to put that right. I also don’t talk about Astro Bot nearly enough and have the perfect excuse to do so, and naturally there’s Pokemon news, because when isn’t there? All of that and a little more to talk about below.
Dispatch Plushes
Dispatch is the superhero game that came along last year and took the gaming world by storm, somehow added something great to an oversaturated genre. Memorable and unique characters, and an incredible story with branching paths.
You’re about to be faced with one of game’s more difficult decisions all over again, as Blonde Blazer and Invisigal have been turned into plushes. Well, technically you don’t have to make that decision again, as you can just buy both.
The two Dispatch heroes are joined by Aaron Paul’s Robert Robertson, and the best plush of all, his pet dog, Beef. They’ll all be available to pre-order later today on Youtooz for $29.99 each, but won’t ship until October.
Astro Bot Mini Fridge
If you’ve been subscribed for a while, know me in real life, or even just passed me in the street while I’ve been wearing his merch, you’ll know how much I love Astro Bot. Yet somehow, there’s been a piece of incredibly unique Astro Bot merch out there for a whole month that has flown under my, and seemingly almost everybody else’s, radar.
It’s an Astro Bot mini fridge. PlayStation has taken its new mascots head and turned it into a small fridge that can hold up to 12 cans, although looking at the photos of it, that feels ambitious. That doesn’t really matter. All that really matters is its eyes are made of blue LEDs that light up.
The only issue I’m having with buying an Astro Bot mini fridge of my own - and finding where most of you can buy it - is it doesn’t seem to be available in the UK. The good news is, if you’re in the US, you can buy them for $99.99 from Target, and Micromania has them for €69.99 in France.
Pokemon Card Lego Set
You read that right - Lego is working on a Pokemon card made out of, you guessed it, Lego. Well, actually, it isn’t. You are, or at least you can be, as Lego has kicked off a contest that tasks Pokemon fans with desiging its first-ever TCG Lego set.
There are some rules you need to follow for your design to be eligible. Your set needs to be between 400 and 2,500 pieces, it can’t be based on a Pokemon card design that already exists, and there are only 30 Pokemon to choose from when it comes to which one is going to be the star of your card.
The shortlist of Lego’s 30 approved Pokemon can be found on the contest’s website, along with some other restrictions you’ll need to work within. Lego is accepting entries until May 6, 2026, and not only will the winning set be turned into the real thing, but you’ll get 1% of all the sales it makes. Good luck!
Letterboxd Keychains
Something a little different to round out the newsletter this week - Letterboxd keychains. Just don’t call them that, because it seems that, since going viral, Letterboxd has reached out to the creators of the keychains and asked that its logo be removed from them.
The good news is that you can still buy them, they just don’t have the Letterboxd and Patron logos on the anymore. You place your pre-orders by filling out the form at 9teenstudio, on which you’ll be asked your favourite movies. Those will be the ones whose tiny posters will be placed inside your unique keychain.
If movies aren’t your thing, there are keychains you can use to show off your four favourite albums, or your top four books instead. There is a little work involved, as you will need to provide the posters/covers used, but it’s pretty easy totally worth it for the finished keychains, and for such a small operation, the turnaround and delivery is pretty fast.
New Games, Free Games, And Supporting The Site
In case you missed it, a new article covering every big game releasing this month went up this week. It’ll be something I do every month moving forward and it has release dates, prices, and trailers for every game included.
In case you missed this, too (where have you been?), there’s now a page at Memory Card Unlocked you can use to support the newsletter. It includes affiliate links which, if you use them, will help the newsletter make money without you having to spend anything extra. There’s also a Kofi page where you can leave tips.
Last but not least, as always, I have game codes to give to new subscribers courtesy of Fanatical. Hit the subscribe button below and I’ll be in touch to find out which game you’d like.

I thought I was absolutely doomed (financially) when they announced Pokémon Lego and now Pokémon Lego TCG! The cost of the first wave has meant I just didn't bother can't justify nearly £600 on that trio and the Pikachu looks worse than the Mega Bloks one 🥲
I might actually make a Lego creation...not that it would get very far but might be fun 🤣
I am going to require that Beef plushie. Also, even though I don't actually have a Letterboxd account, I still want that key chain. I need to figure out my top 4.
